One Year to Glory – January 24th – The Gratitude Post

thank-you-300x3001 One Year to Glory - January 24th - The Gratitude Post
From Patrick Hosely

The urge hit me, probably Spirit inspired, to share those things I’m grateful for. I gave myself a 500 word allowance and let God guide me fingers across the keyboard. Here is what I’m grateful for right now…

I am grateful for a loving God who longs for me to make Him a bigger and bigger part of my life. He asks me to listen to Him and to follow His plan because He wants to lead me and others closer to Him.

I am grateful for my loving wife who believes in me, supports me, helps me and constantly lets me know how much I mean to her.

I am grateful for my son, Jack. He is the light of my life. I just want to hold him and never let him go.

I am grateful for my health. It’s not as good as I’d like it to be but I’m doing better than many others and I’m getting healthier every day.

I am grateful for gainful employment that challenges me and lets me help people every day.  In a world where there are people who’ve been unemployed for years, I am fortunate.

I am grateful for my beautiful home. It may not be the newest or the biggest but it’s cozy, charming and most everything works.

I am grateful because I own two automobiles that run well in order to take us to work, school and wherever else we must go. The best thing about them is they’re both paid off!

I am grateful for having a little bit of money put away for the future. It needs to be more but it’s better than what many others have put aside.

I am grateful for Sherry Weddell. Her workshop revealed to me the charism of writing and helped me see God’s plan for me a bit clearer.

I am grateful for my CRHP Brothers of Team 4. They’ve supported and prayed for me and my family many times. They’re great guys that I can’t wait to get to know them better.

I am grateful for my CRHP Sisters of Team 4. They helped with food and prayed for us during our retreat.

I am grateful for Phil Hernandez who puts together our daily CRHP newsletter. Praying for my brothers and sisters in Christ and their families has helped me grow closer to God.

I am grateful for Mrs. Osbourn, Jack’s Kindergarten teacher. I’ve had many teachers but she’s the best I’ve ever met.

I am grateful for Holy Trinity Catholic Church and School. We are a loving, caring and involved parish. God brought us here for a reason and that reason becomes more apparent each day.

I am grateful for Facebook because it helps me keep in touch with old friends. I also get inundated with inspiration on a daily basis which helps me keep moving forward.

I am grateful for Twitter because it’s helped me to discover many Catholic voices from all over the nation and the world.

I am grateful for the people who help keep a city, state and nation running day after day. Police, firemen, paramedics, parks and rec folks, road maintenance folks, water and sewer folks, doctors, nurses, orderlies, janitors, teachers, cafeteria workers, receptionists, valets, bus boys, bellmen, and concierges – EVERYONE who does the little, often unseen things that make a big difference.

I’m grateful for you – the readers of The Witness Path. You may be small in number but you’re big in faith!

God bless,
