The Georgia Bulldogs just added a lifelong fan at quarterback. His dad also happens to be country music superstar Luke Bryan.

On Sunday, three-star quarterback Bo Bryan committed to Georgia, becoming the 24th member of the Bulldogs’ 2027 recruiting class. According to 247Sports, Bryan is ranked just outside the top 2,000 players nationally, coming in as the No. 141 quarterback and No. 70 player in Tennessee.

The most interesting part?

Georgia is the only FBS offer currently listed on his 247Sports profile. Bryan also held offers from Austin Peay, North Alabama and UT Martin, but none play at the FBS level.

Then the Bulldogs came calling.

Bryan grew up a Georgia fan, which makes plenty of sense considering who raised him. His father is one of the biggest names in country music and has never exactly hidden his love for the Bulldogs.

Earlier this year, Bryan and fellow country star Jason Aldean even brought head coach Kirby Smart on stage during their concert at Sanford Stadium.

Now, Bryan may have an even bigger reason to get involved with the program.

Luke Bryan has already shown a willingness to help support college athletes financially. In 2023, he helped promote Georgia Southern’s Eagle Nation Collective alongside fellow country star Cole Swindell, encouraging fans to support NIL opportunities for Eagles athletes.

Bryan attended Georgia Southern, but his allegiance on Saturdays has long been with the Bulldogs.

Now that his son is one of them, could that eventually turn one of Georgia football’s most famous celebrity fans into an even more involved NIL supporter? It certainly wouldn’t hurt.

Obviously, Bo Bryan’s commitment doesn’t mean his father is about to start writing NIL checks around Athens, but having your son inside the program provides a pretty good reason to become even more invested in your favorite team.

For a kid who grew up bleeding red and black, there probably wasn’t much of a decision to make. Bo Bryan may not arrive in Athens as the highest-rated quarterback in the country. But he got the offer he wanted most.
