In the day following Cole’s announcement, a report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select notes that Cole’s injury is, in fact, legitimate, per the word within AEW, and Cole is legitimately scheduled for surgery.
Also, while it has not been stated whether or not Cole will continue to be factored in upcoming shows by way of vignettes, it was reported that fans should not expect to see Adam Cole in a live capacity on upcoming shows.
WrestleZone continues to wish Adam the best in his recovery.
Adam Cole was scheduled to defend the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship alongside Maxwell Jacob Friedman against The Righteous at AEW WrestleDream. MJF will now be going it alone in a two-on-one Handicap Match.
