AEW World Champion Jon Moxley and the Blackpool Combat Club continued their hostile takeover on the October 23 episode of AEW Dynamite. At the end of the show, they dragged producer Chuck Taylor out and viciously attacked him. Claudio Castagnoli wrapped a chair around Taylor’s neck and stomped on it. The locker room ran to the ring to chase off Moxley and his group. Taylor was then checked on as the show came to an end.
Taylor has not wrestled since he lost to Trent Beretta in a Parking Lot Fight on the April 27 episode of AEW Dynamite. Orange Cassidy later said that Taylor would never wrestle again due to an injury, which was confirmed to be legitimate. Taylor said that there was hope that he could wrestle after getting surgery.
