Samoa Joe and MJF will face off for the AEW World Championship at AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam.
The match was confirmed during Wednesday’s episode of AEW Dynamite, when Joe defeated Roderick Strong in the finals of the AEW Grand Slam World Title Eliminator Tournament. Like he has for every match of this tournament, Joe once again dominated late, flipping the early momentum that was Strong’s and locking in the Coquina Clutch to close out the show.
After the match, Joe took to the microphone to yell out “Oh, Max!” before saying that his prophecy had come true, and next week, he plans on taking everything from him at Grand Slam. While Strong was being tended to by the medical officials on hand, Adam Cole came down to the ring to check on his friend.
After some back and forth shouting between Cole and The Kingdom, Joe would pop back out, and lock Cole in the Coquina Clutch as well, screaming to the camera and MJF that he meant everything.
