AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland and AEW Continental Champion Will Ospreay had a heated confrontation on the June 19 episode. Ospreay later got involved in a brawl with Cage of Agony. AEW subsequently announced that Ospreay and Strickland will team up just days before they clash at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, as they will face Gates of Agony.
Plus, in an Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament will continue, as Jay White will face Rey Fenix in a quarterfinal match.
Finally, Toni Storm, Mariah May, and Mina Shirakawa will face Saraya, Anna Jay, and Harley Cameron. Storm will defend the AEW Women’s World Championship against Shirakawa at Forbidden Door.
